RobotFLy Trophy: Congratulations to the GEII students!

On Thursday, January 30, three first-year students from the BUT GEII program participated in the RobotFLy competition, organized by Staubli and Claret at Lycée Paul Langevin in Martigues.

Throughout the day, eight teams explored industrial robotics, taking part in offline programming challenges followed by live programming challenges on a Staubli robotic arm in an industrial setting. They also participated in a workshop on augmented reality.

Among the participants were four BTS teams from Lycée Paul Langevin in Martigues, one BTS team from Lycée des Remparts in Marseille, one BUT GEII team from Salon-de-Provence, and one BUT GMP team from the IUT in Marseille.

Our students, Alex Bell, Quentin Rousseau, and Guirec Marcinkowski, finished first out of the eight participating teams.

They have qualified for the Southeast Region and will therefore compete in the finals, which will take place at the Lycée des Métiers Charles Poncet in Cluses from April 2 to 5, alongside qualified students from other regions, as well as from Quebec, Belgium, and elsewhere—nearly 600 participants in 2023!

Company visits and sightseeing tours are also on the agenda.

We congratulate them on this first step and wish them the best of luck!
