RobotFLy Trophy: congratulations to GEII students!

On Thursday January 30, 3 first-year BUT GEII students took part in the RobotFLy trophy, organized by Staubli and Claret at the Lycée Paul Langevin in Martigues.

Throughout the day, 8 teams discovered industrial robotics, followed offline and then live programming challenges on a Staubli robotic arm in an industrial situation. They also took part in a workshop on augmented reality.

Among the participants were 4 BTS teams from the Lycée Paul Langevin in Martigues, 1 BTS team from the Lycée des Remparts in Marseille, 1 BUT GEII team from Salon de Provence and a BUT GMP team from the IUT in Marseille.

Our students Alex Bell, Quentin Rousseau and Guirec Marcinkowski finished first out of the 8 participating teams.

They have qualified for the South-East Region, and will take part in the final, to be held at the Lycée des Métiers Charles Poncet in Cluses from April 2 to 5, with qualified students from other regions, as well as from Quebec and Belgium... almost 600 participants in 2023!

Business and tourist visits are also on the agenda.

We congratulate them on this first step and wish them good luck!
