internship terms and conditions

The internship is mandatory as part of the IUT program.

In France, interns must be paid for internships lasting more than 308 hours. (Simulator for calculating the minimum internship allowance – Calculation – service-public.fr)

Agreement, ESUP-sTAGE

In order to facilitate the management and monitoring of internships, the University of Montpellier has set up a computer tool called Pstage which allows students to complete their internship agreements, edit them, and submit them for signature from their Digital Workspace (ENT).

Multi-Service Card (MSC)

After registering and being admitted to the University of Montpellier, each student receives a multi-service student card.


  • Identification
    At university, your student card is equivalent to your ID card. It allows you to identify yourself to the registrar's office and is required to take exams.
  • Access to documentation
    The multi-service student card gives you access to university libraries. This means you can borrow documents with complete peace of mind.
  • Izly payment
    To make your daily life easier, the student card is equipped with a new payment system: Izly. It allows you to pay for many services within the CROUS network and at your university.

Any requests for exam and/or study accommodations must be made each academic year before November 30 for the first semester and March 1 for the second semester. Contact the preventive medicine service or Handiversité.

file transfer

If you wish to have your file transferred to an institution that is not affiliated with the University of Montpellier, print and return the transfer request form to the IUT's registrar's office, which will process your request directly by sending your file to the host institution.

Please contact the school office in person or by email at the following address for any complaints:

 If you do not receive a clear and precise response to your request, you can fill out the complaint form, in which you will mention the steps you have taken. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to the email address you provided in the form.

If you are eligible for a refund (scholarship recipient, apprentice, etc.) after paying the fees, please contact the registrar's office.

refunds

You may request a refund of your registration fees if:

  • You paid all fees when you registered and you have received your final scholarship notification.
  • You paid the full amount when you registered and your status has changed (e.g., apprentice, continuing education, etc.).
  • You withdrew from your training program before September 1 of the current year (refund entitlement).
  • You resigned between September 1 and October 31 of the current year: mandatory exemption committee review ( exceptional reimbursement)

You must then contact the education department at iutn-scolarite@umontpellier.fr, which will review your request.

degrees

The 2024-2025 degrees (DUT, BUT, and Professional Licenses) are available.

If you have already requested your diploma to be sent by mail, you do not need to take any further action.

Otherwise, you can obtain your diploma:

  • Either at the IUT's academic office (Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.). We strongly advise you to call in advance (04 66 62 85 03 or 04 66 62 85 02) before coming in. You will need to bring your valid ID card, passport, or residence permit. If someone else is collecting your diploma on your behalf, they must provide your diploma certificate, their own ID and a photocopy of yours, as well as your power of attorney (downloadable here). In all cases , we advise you to also bring a copy of your military service record (JAPD or JDC) as a precaution, in case this document is missing from your file. Please do not come to collect your diploma during the school holidays.

  • or by mail: you must specify on your letter the address to which the diploma should be sent, the course you took, and enclose a photocopy of your ID and €8.80 in stamps for a DUT (university technical diploma) and €10.45 for a BUT (university technical degree) or a professional bachelor's degree.

elite athletes

The university promotes access to initial and continuing education for high-level athletes. Support is provided in the form of curriculum adjustments tailored to athletic constraints, with the aim of reconciling higher education and athletic careers.

established artists

The university promotes access to initial and continuing education for established artists, in accordance with Article 12 of the decree of January 22, 2014. Support may take the form of adapted course arrangements. If you have high-level artist status, you can contact the IUT's academic services department.
