The University Institute of Technology
The Nîmes University Institute of Technology, part of the University of Montpellier, offers technological and professional training tailored to local and regional needs. Our ambition is to train students, mainly those with general or technological high school diplomas, in the scientific and technological skills necessary for career advancement within companies.
Technology is at the heart of our projects and training programs, ensuring that future professionals are quickly ready to enter the workforce. The degrees and support offered provide a high level of employability. However, the training students receive increasingly leads them to continue their studies, with a high success rate over the past 10 years.
The national survey conducted 30 months after graduation shows that 81% of graduates are employed, 90% have continued their studies, and 70% are pursuing long-term studies.
In consultation with the local education authority and businesses, our goal is to train more and more middle managers through technological training in the secondary and tertiary sectors.
The 5-hectare campus accommodates 1,200 students in27,000 square meters offacilities with four large technology testing halls.
A bachelor's degree
The Bachelor of University Technology (B.U.T.) has become the new benchmark degree for university technology institutes (IUTs).
With five specializations and 12 different courses, we train students with a general or technological high school diploma for University Technology Bachelor's degrees (B.U.T., three years of higher education), as well as professional bachelor's degrees. The programs are available as traditional initial training, work-study training through the Apprenticeship Training Center(CFA), or continuing education through the Continuing Education Service (SFC).
Our institute also hosts a section of Polytech’ Montpellier(engineering program, five years of higher education), which trains engineers in boiler-made and welded systems.
We issue validations of professional experience and validations of learning and experience: VAP and VAE.
