Signing of the IUT's Contract of Objectives and Means

The signing of the Contract of Objectives and Means (COM) for the IUT of Nîmes was a highlight of its last council meeting, which took place on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in the presence of President Philippe Augé, VPCA Alexandre Vernhet, VP CFVU Agnès Fichard-Carroll, DGSA Sébastien Pons, and Director of Steering Guilhem Culotte.

This COM, presented at the council meeting by IUT Director Saïd El Youssoufi, conveys two messages. The first message shows how the policy of the IUT of Nîmes fits into the strategy of the University of Montpellier, its priority areas, and its master plans. The second message puts into perspective a specific, structuring project focusing on the eco-responsible development and transformation of the IUT Nîmes campus. 

This cross-disciplinary project encompasses many aspects of student life on campus. It directly or indirectly covers aspects of student reception, inclusion, solidarity, and adaptation, particularly for people with reduced mobility, the promotion of soft mobility and energy efficiency, raising awareness of social responsibility and citizenship, sustainable development and the promotion of biodiversity, and the promotion of artistic, cultural, and sporting activities.

The quality of student life and staff working conditions are at the heart of this collective project, which is expected to come to fruition over the next three years.
