A Look Back at the Inauguration of the Student Lounge at the IUT

On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Nîmes University Institute of Technology (IUT) officially inaugurated its brand-new Student Life Center (EVE), an ambitious project entirely dedicated to student well-being, social interaction, and engagement.

Located in the heart of the administration building, across from the cafeteria, the EVE enjoys a strategic location that makes it a true gathering place for the student community. With its 280 m², this modern and bright space was designed as a place to unwind on campus, fostering interaction, relaxation, and student club activities.

Designed as a space that brings people together, the EVE consists of several complementary areas. Students can enjoy a multipurpose space there that’s perfect for breaks and socializing. An office dedicated to the Student Union (BDE) also helps organize and encourage student club initiatives, thereby strengthening the student community. Outside, a large south-facing terrace, equipped with shade sails, offers an additional welcoming setting for students to gather and relax.

The inauguration, which began at noon and was attended by many members of the campus community, concluded with a luncheon reception, providing an opportunity for everyone to socialize and explore the new facility.
