STRENGTHENING INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS IN QUEBEC
From April 12 to 22, the University of Montpellier—and more specifically the IUT in Nîmes—was represented in Quebec as part of an exploratory and prospecting mission to higher education institutions.
Supported by the Explore #7 program, this mission covered more than 1,600 km across the province to meet with prospective academic partners and identify concrete opportunities for international collaboration.
The itinerary took the delegation to the heart of Quebec’s academic ecosystem, with meetings organized at several institutions: UQAM—Université du Québec à Montréal, École de technologie supérieure, Université de Sherbrooke, Université Laval, UQTR—Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, and Université du Québec en Outaouais.
Discussions with international relations officials, deans, and academic leaders helped establish a shared vision of academic excellence and opened up avenues for cooperation in the areas of student mobility, faculty mobility, and joint research projects.
Beyond the kilometers traveled, this mission was marked above all by the quality of the personal and institutional interactions. The initial contacts made now form a solid foundation for building lasting partnerships between the IUT de Nîmes and the Quebec institutions we met with.
The Nîmes University Institute of Technology (IUT) extends its warmest thanks to all of its Quebec partners for their hospitality and the fruitful exchanges.
