Civil Engineering OBJECTIVE 1: Math Placement Test at the Start of the School Year

A placement test will be administered during the first math class (to organize tutoring). The test will cover the following basic concepts:

Fractions, square roots, equations, isolating a variable in an expression, expanding and factoring
, trigonometry in right triangles, the Pythagorean theorem,
, units and volumes.

Students must bring their calculators.
