English as a language of instruction

As part of our efforts to internationalize our Materials Science and Engineering department, our faculty members must rise to the challenge of teaching in English. Our lecturers— ,Laurence Courtheoux, and ,Catherine Lacour—have successfully completed a training course offered by Oxford EMI ( English as a Medium of Instruction), which has helped them:
✅ Develop effective teaching techniques
✅ Build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds
✅ Create a more dynamic learning experience

Our professors, Laurence Courtheoux and Catherine Lacour, have successfully completed a training program offered by Oxford EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction), which has enabled them to:

Other teachers at SGM Nîmes have also completed this training, and the first classes taught in English will begin in September 2025.
