"The Trial of King Kong": A Play to Raise Awareness About Sexual and Gender-Based Violence

On Friday, September 25, the Nîmes University Institute of Technology (IUT) hosted “The Trial of King Kong,” an interactive play. The concept: a fictional courtroom where the audience is invited to judge a case involving sexual or gender-based violence, alongside actors portraying the victim, the perpetrator, and the witnesses. This participatory format helps spark a discussion about consent, mechanisms of domination, and victim-blaming.

This highlight is part of our commitment to raising our students’ awareness of sexual and gender-based violence, and we are delighted to have been able to offer them this experience.
