Company visits for students in the SGM department

On February 10, SGM students visited GUNBOAT, a super-catamaran manufacturer in La Grande Motte and the only company to mass-produce carbon-fiber catamarans. The students were impressed by the size of the boats and the wide range of skills required to design and build these masterpieces.

On Tuesday, February 21, it was the turn of Guimbal, a manufacturer of two-seater helicopters located near Aix-en-Provence. Guimbal’s Cabri helicopter is the lightest on the market, thanks to the extensive use of composite materials. The students were particularly impressed by the complexity and precision of the blade manufacturing process. They were able to meet Hugo, a former student of the program who is now employed in the composite workshop.
