Starting with the new academic year in September 2022, a single student union (BDE) made up of students from each department of the IUT will replace the former student associations that existed within each department. This new structure will bring all students together through cultural, athletic, and social activities, among others…

The department’s student association, UNANIM BDE GEII, organizes events and outings throughout the year in partnership with all the other departments at the IUT, including:
- Snow Break: 5 Days of Skiing in Andorra at the Grandvalira Resort
- Interdepartmental Soccer Tournaments
- Barbecues
- An Evening of Integration and Disintegration
- Events in partnership with several bars and nightclubs in Nîmes: Le Victor Hugo, Le Café Olive, Le CKF…
- Futsal Tournaments
- Karting
The association helps forge a strong and essential bond among students during their two years at the IUT, both in terms of academic work and mutual support, as well as during activities and celebrations. It also serves as a close link between students and professors, fostering a positive atmosphere and cohesion within the department.
