Because we want to help you develop your professional skills, while most DUT programs include a 10-week internship, the internship at SGM Nîmes lasts 11 or 12 weeks.

The internship is a continuation of your training, designed to help you become self-sufficient in the workplace.

• Semesters 1 and 2: You will contact and visit a company as part of your Personalized Career Project
• Semesters 3 and 4: You will work with an industrial client during the second-year project.
• Semester 4: The internship provides you with your first job search and your first experience taking on responsibility in a company.

In order to allow sufficient time to complete a high-quality industrial project, the internship must be of substantial duration. The minimum duration of the SGM internship is 10 weeks; we require a minimum of 11 weeks, with the option to extend it until August 31 (for a total of 20 weeks).

Because you provide work that brings real added value to companies, all SGM internships are paid.

The department oversees and supervises the internships through visits to the host companies. The internship is the subject of a written report and an oral presentation, which are evaluated both on their technical merit and on the quality of the presentation.
