SGM Department Student Association
The SGM Association
Starting in the fall semester of 2022, a single student union composed of students from every department at the IUT will replace the former student associations that existed within each department. This new structure will bring all students together through cultural, athletic, and social activities, among others.
The board was elected last May, and we will soon be posting a list of members and upcoming projects!
The SGM Student Association aims to improve the daily lives of students in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
Throughout the year, the association works to organize activities for the SGM department.
It implements:
- Sports events
- A ski trip in January.
- Student parties in Nîmes and Montpellier.
- Kayaking trips with the teachers.
She also works to raise the funds needed to organize events:
- Organizing the orientation day.
- Disintegration Day for thesophomores.
- Organizing partnership and open house events
- As well as the organization of the challenge, which brings together all SGM departments in France.
The club has a lounge where students can gather during breaks for coffee or tea.
