University Sport
At the IUT, sports activities are organized by the Service Universitaire des Activités Physiques et Sportives (SUAPS). SUAPS offers weekly courses in a wide range of physical, sporting and expressive activities. Physical and sports activities are open to all students and IUT staff. You'll be able to join other Nîmes students (from the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Education and theUniversity of Nîmes) in taking part in a wide range of sporting activities throughout the week.
Your university sports membership is included in your IUT registration fees via the CVEC.
To take part in sports activities, simply go to your ENT and click on "SUAPS pre-registration".
registration and activities
Registration procedures and details of the activities on offer are posted in the IUT reception hall.
bonus
As part of their studies at I.U.T., students can choose to make their sporting activities "profitable" by receiving a bonus. (Bonus of up to 0.3 points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd semesters).
university competitions
You can take part in official university championships: all sports are represented. The university's A.S. (Sports Association), in conjunction with the FFSU (Fédération Française du Sport Universitaire), organizes sports competitions for students. A FFSU multisport license is required to take part in competitions (€30).
To obtain your FFSU license:
The Association Sportive de l'Université de Montpellier (ASUM) has decided to offer students the option of paying their FFSU membership fees online. To this end, the ASUM has set up a website. Go to the "membership" tab to complete your license.
top athletes
The university promotes access to initial and continuing training for top-level athletes. This support takes the form of curriculum adjustments adapted to sporting constraints, aimed at reconciling higher education with a sporting career.
A registration form can be downloaded from the UM website under "student life", "sport" tab, from July onwards.
