College Sports

At the IUT, sports activities are organized by the University Department of Physical and Sports Activities(SUAPS). The department offers weekly classes in a wide range of physical, athletic, and creative activities. These physical and sports activities are open to all students and IUT staff. You’ll be able to join other students in Nîmes(from the School of Medicine, the School of Education, and the University of Nîmes)in enjoying a wide range of sports activities throughout the week.

Your university sports membership is included in your IUT tuition fees through the CVEC.

 To participate in sports activities, simply go to your digital campus portal and click on “SUAPS pre-registration.”

bonus

As part of their studies at the I.U.T., students can choose to “turn their athletic activities into academic credit” by earning bonus points. (Bonus points can be worth up to 0.3 points in the first, second, and third semesters.)

college competitions

You can participate in official university championships: All sports are represented. The university’s Sports Association (A.S.), in collaboration with the French University Sports Federation (FFSU), organizessports competitions for students. The FFSU multisport membership is required to participate in competitions(€30).

The University of Montpellier Sports Association has decided to offer students the option of paying their FFSU membership fees online. To this end, ASUM has set up a website. Goto the “Membership” tab to complete your registration.

elite athletes

The university promotes access to undergraduate and graduate programs for elite athletes. This support takes the form of flexible course schedules tailored to the demands of their athletic careers, designed to help them balance their academic studies with their athletic careers.
