LearningLab

The learning lab at the University Institute of Technology in Nîmes is part of the LearningLab Network (national network of learning labs).

An innovative space

Spanning 600 square meters dedicated to innovative teaching methods, the IUT learning lab offers two large, fluid, open-plan learning spaces. Whiteboard walls, reconfigurable spaces, co-working areas, and relaxation areas make up this innovative training facility that emphasizes active and creative teaching methods.

The IUT learning lab enables:

  • to test and develop different learning methods
  • to have a set of scalable digital equipment
  • to support the acquisition of digital skills, cultures, and humanities
  • to host training courses, meetings, seminars, productions, experiments, research, observation
  • to welcome a variety of audiences and events

For students: advice and tutoring on how to use ICT tools

  • ICT: Moodle and other tools for learning and collaborating, introduction to creating simple audio-video files
  • Co-coaching: students are invited to share methodological advice and learning support in subjects they have mastered.
  • Co-working: bring us your escape game, serious game, or cross-disciplinary educational challenge project! We will be happy to guide you and do everything we can to make your project a reality!

For teachers: support for innovative teaching methods

  • Support for any educational situation that needs to be developed, improved, or unblocked: educational alignment, assessment, distance learning, hybridization, group management, alternative teaching methods, edutainment, etc.
  • Support for Moodle and available applications: ChallengeMe peer assessment tool, IOGA video self-interview platform, etc.
  • Assistance with facilitating specific sessions: portfolio, Agile Project Management game, sessions requiring an additional facilitator/jury, etc.
  • Teaching materials: inventory available on Moodle
  • New developments in education: software, neuroscience, experiments, events related to education

For businesses

The learninglab space is also a dedicated co-working space where professionals and innovative project leaders can come together.

It is an ideal setting for any seminar or training course involving the search for innovative solutions in large and small groups through brainstorming, web research, and creativity workshops.

  • rental with training on the digital tools available on site a few hours before your event
  • rental with preparation service for creative workshop facilitation techniques ahead of your event
