The Learning Lab at the Nîmes University Institute of Technology (IUT) is part of the LearningLab Network (a national network of Learning Labs)

An innovative space

Spanning 600 square meters dedicated to innovative teaching methods, the IUT’s learning lab features two large, open-concept learning spaces. Whiteboard walls, reconfigurable areas, coworking spaces, and a relaxation area make up this innovative training facility, which prioritizes active and creative teaching methods.

The IUT's learning lab allows students to:

  • to test and develop different learning methods
  • to have a set of scalable digital equipment
  • to support the acquisition of digital skills, digital cultures, and digital humanities
  • to host training sessions, meetings, seminars, productions, experiments, research, and observation
  • to host a variety of audiences and events

For students: advice and tutoring on how to get started with ICT tools

  • ICT: Moodle and Other Tools for Learning and Collaboration, Introduction to Creating Simple Audio-Video Content
  • Co-coaching: Students are encouraged to share study tips and provide academic support in the subjects they are proficient in
  • Co-working: Bring your escape game, serious game, or cross-curricular educational challenge project! We’ll be happy to guide you and do everything we can to help bring your project to life!

For Teachers: Support for Innovative Teaching Methods

  • Support for any educational situation you need to develop, improve, or overcome challenges with: curriculum alignment, assessment, distance learning, hybrid learning, group management, alternative teaching methods, game-based learning, …
  • Support for Moodle and its available applications: the ChallengeMe peer assessment tool, the IOGA video self-interview platform, etc.
  • Assistance with facilitating specific sessions: portfolio review, Agile Project Management game, sessions requiring an additional facilitator or judge, etc.

The LearningLab is also a dedicated coworking space where professionals and innovators can come together.

It is an ideal setting for any seminar or training session that involves finding innovative solutions in large and small groups through brainstorming, web research, and creativity workshops.

  • Rental that includes training on the digital tools available on-site a few hours before your event
  • Rental services that include training in creative workshop facilitation techniques prior to your event
