Technology platforms

The University Institute of Technology (IUT) in Nîmes, always keen to promote technology transfer to businesses, has developed several technology platforms. These technology platforms enable IUT students to learn about research and development and make the IUT's resources, student motivation, and the skills of technicians and teaching staff available to businesses.

The activities of technology platforms can range from diagnostics to the search for innovative processes, including technology provision.

  • The "smart home": dedicated to experimentation and training in the ever-evolving tools, techniques, and connected objects.
  • The Electric Vehicle Motorization Solutions technology platform: developing simple and robust electric motors.
  • Batim’Handicap: raises awareness of accessibility issues in housing and enables the development and testing of products.
  • The Anamat platform: which offers analysis of the microstructure and behavior of materials.
  • The additive manufacturing platform: at the Gard Technology Platform, we offer expertise and a range of resources for 3D additive manufacturing.
  • The Nîmes branch of the Montpellier University Space Center: which develops nanosatellites (mechanical structure, power board, antenna system, etc.).

The Nîmes University Institute of Technology also has a learning lab and a learning center that offers collaborative workspaces with modular furniture, interactive whiteboards and screens, videoconferencing, and writing walls.

Always on the lookout for new technologies and in close contact with the research laboratories at the University of Montpellier, we regularly upgrade our platforms to keep them at a high technological level that is affordable for our students.
