2018 Session:The internship dates are from April 16, 2018, to June 22, 2018
Internships play a key role in the department’s curriculum. They provide an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained throughout one’s academic studies in a setting outside the university. Students participate in various types of internships:
- Engineering Department: Preliminary design and design of custom machinery.
- Process Engineering Department: Preparation for the Manufacturing of Mechanical System Components
The intern is assigned a project or assignment for the duration of the 10-week internship and must write a structured report on that work.
The range of industries is diverse, spanning from small engineering firms to large corporations; a list of companies is available to give you an idea of the internship opportunities available. For example, a number of companies that host GMP interns are listed in the table below.
